SUBJECT LINE: [CITY]: [DATE] – A Marketing Workshop for Hippies?

Greetings,

A Marketing Workshop for Hippies? It’s true.
Tad Hargrave, of www.MarketingforHippies.com, will be in town with his Marketing for Hippies 101 workshop on [DATE]. It’s a daylong, PWYC (with a $25 deposit to hold your space), deep dive into ethical marketing.
It’s for those who know they need to market but who hate marketing.
It’s his signature workshop that he’s led for the past twenty years around the world on how to market in a way that is not only ethical but also effective.
It’s about how to market your business in a way that feels genuinely good for all involved.[Insert story of how you know Tad and any thoughts you want to share on his work and why you’re bringing him to town.]

The first hour of the day, he’ll set the stage and then, beyond that, it’ll be largely over to you for your questions and so the day will be shaped by who’s there in the room.
If you’re a healer, coach, permie, etc. – we’d love to see you there
You can learn more about Tad at www.MarketingforHippies.com and sign up for his his daylong workshop here: [EVENTBRITE LINK]

SUBJECT LINE: [CITY]: [DATE] – Marketing Workshop for the Marketing-Averse

Hey there!

Guess what’s coming to our neck of the woods? A marketing workshop that actually doesn’t make you want to take a shower afterward.

Tad Hargrave from www.MarketingforHippies.com will be bringing his signature workshop to town. It’s a full day of ethical marketing insights offered on a Pay-What-You-Can basis (just $25 to reserve your spot).

If you break out in hives at the thought of “selling yourself” but know you need to get the word out about your work, this is your jam.

[Insert story of how you know Tad and any thoughts you want to share on his work and why you’re bringing him to town.]

The format is super relaxed — Tad kicks things off with an hour of groundwork, then the day flows based on your specific questions and needs. The whole thing is about making marketing feel good instead of gross for everyone involved.

Perfect for healers, coaches, permaculture folks, and anyone whose work makes the world better but who struggles with self-promotion.

Check out more about Tad at www.marketingforhippies.com and get the workshop details here: [EVENTBRITE LINK]

Hope to see you there!

SUBJECT LINE: Ethical Marketing Workshop Coming to [CITY] – For People Who’d Rather Not Market At All

Hi friends,

I’ve got something special lined up for [DATE]

Tad Hargrave is bringing his Marketing for Hippies 101 workshop to our community! If you’ve ever thought “I need clients but I hate marketing,” this day is designed specifically for you.

For the past two decades, Tad has been showing heart-centered entrepreneurs around the world how to market authentically and effectively. The workshop runs all day and is offered on a Pay-What-You-Can basis (with just a $25 deposit to hold your place).

[Insert story of how you know Tad and any thoughts you want to share on his work and why you’re bringing him to town.]

What I love about Tad’s approach is that it’s completely tailored to who shows up. After a one-hour introduction to set the context, the entire day becomes a personalized marketing clinic based on your questions and challenges.

This is especially valuable for healers, coaches, permaculture practitioners, and other conscious business owners who want their marketing to feel as aligned as their work.

You can explore Tad’s perspective at www.MarketingforHippies.com and learn more about the workshop here: [EVENTBRITE LINK]

Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces there!

Email 4 – Friends and Family Message

SUBJECT LINE: [CITY]: [DATE] – A Marketing Workshop for Hippies?

Dear friends and colleagues,

A marketing workshop for hippies in [CITY]? It’s true.

If you’re getting this email you’re amongst our nearest and dearest in town. You’re all folks up to good things in the area.

We are excited to announced that on [DATE] we are bringing Tad Hargrave of www.MarketingforHippies.com to town with his day-long, pay-what-you-can Marketing for Hippies 101 workshop where he’ll be sharing about his Seven Fundamentals of ethical marketing.

He’s toured this workshop for two decades now and we’re so happy to have him coming.

BUT WE COULD USE YOUR HELP:

  • Could you invite folks you think might be interested to the FB event?

  • Could you post the following on social media in the coming days and tag anyone you know? [Maybe suggest they pull their favourites from the web page or choose for them]

  • Do you have any great ideas for us on how to get the word out about it?

  • If you’d like to join our scrappy and intrepid team of local organizers, we’d be so grateful.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Your help would mean the world.

Email 5 – Working Potluck Invitation

SUBJECT LINE: Time Sensitive – RSVP – 60 Second Favour

Hello!

As you know, we are bringing Tad Hargrave into town and are hankering to sell the venue out. We’re doing well so far but could use some help in figuring out the best strategy for the last weeks.

Would you be willing to come to a working potluck to help us figure this out? It would be about three hours long. You’d bring a dish that could feed six and your laptop. We’d eat, meet each other, and then delve into all manner of strategizing.

If you’re interested in doing some good work with some good people, could you take 60 seconds right now and let us know the best date [Insert doodle.com link where they can vote on the best date for them]?

We’ll let you know which date is chosen. Again, there’s no pressure to do anything more after the meeting, though you’re welcome to. Your help in this would make a world of difference.

Tad Hargrave – Founder of Marketing for Hippies

Tad is a hippy who developed a knack for marketing (and then learned how to be a hippy again).

Since 2001, he’s been weaving together strands of ethical marketing, Waldorf School education, a history in the performing arts, local culture work, anti-globalization activism, an interest in his ancestral, traditional cultures, community building and supporting local economies into this work of helping people create profitable businesses that are ethically grown while restoring the beauty of the marketplace.

Tad did improv comedy semi-professionally for 25 years, co-ran Edmonton’s progressive community building network TheLocalGood.ca, founded streetcarshows.com and the Jams program of yesworld.org. He speaks Scottish Gaelic and helped to launch and co-facilitate the Nova Scotia Gaels Jam.

He is from Edmonton, Alberta (traditionally known, in the language of the Cree, as Amiskwaciy [Beaver Hill] and later Amiskwaciwaskihegan [Beaver Hill House]) and currently lives in Duncan, BC (Quw’utsun territory).

MFH 101 In-Person Daylong Workshop Description

In this daylong, in-person workshop, you’ll learn my best core strategies on how to market your business in a way that is ethical, effective and beautiful. This Pay What You Can (PWYC) workshop offers ways to get clients that are deeply respectful, trauma-informed, and conscience-driven.

Marketing can feel good.

That’s the premise of this workshop.

You don’t need to sell your soul to sell your work.

Too much marketing (even by savvy, conscious entrepreneurs) creates either no response or seems “over-hyped” and triggers a “used car salesman” reaction.

In short, it feels awful.

Since 2001, I have traveled around North America & Europe working with conscious entrepreneurs just like you. Some successful, others struggling. And I’ve gathered quite the assortment of success stories and strategies right from the horses’ mouths.

This workshop is my best distillation and collection of those practices and stories.

This workshop is for those who know they need to market but who hate marketing.

You don’t have to choose between ethics and effectiveness.

You can sell successfully and sleep soundly.

In general, here’s who this workshop is for:

Most of the folks who’ve come are service providers of some kind: in the Healing Arts or a Holistic Practitioner, a Therapist, Massage Therapist or Body-worker, Yoga Instructor, Herbalist, Shamanic Practitioner, Life-Coach, Meditation Teacher etc. But I’ve also had crafters, farmers and permaculture folks and they’ve loved it too. Everyone is welcome.

In this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Apply the Seven Fundamentals of the Marketing for Hippies approach (Space, Ethics, Niching, Point of View Marketing, Business Model, Hub Marketing, and Sharing).

  • Get more word-of-mouth and attract more of the clients you want (without ever sacrificing your integrity or spending a fortune).

  • Apply my best core ethical marketing strategies on how to market your business in a way that’s genuinely good-vibes, deeply respectful, trauma-informed, consent-based, conscience-driven, courteous, and that honours the dignity of everyone involved (including you).

  • Market your beautiful work beautifully – in a way that makes the world better.

  • Market with no fake scripts, no pitching, no inauthentic self-promotion, no high-pressure sales tactics, no manipulating anyone and make sure your marketing gets a positive response and creates warm feelings of trust.

This is marketing you’ll actually do.

My name is Tad Hargrave and I want to invite you to come and join us for this day-long workshop, my signature event that I call Marketing for Hippies 101.

PRICE: $25 deposit + Pay What You Can at the end

What does this mean?

You pay $25 to secure your spot.

And then you get to enjoy the workshop and, at the very end, you can pay me whatever you’d like to pay.

It’s an honest-to-goodness, decide-at-the-end, no funny business, pay-what-you-can/want deal.

OR: Pay a flat $300 market value fee for the workshop upfront. If that feels good and convenient for you, please choose this option. It’s something that’s been requested a number of times so I’m trying it out, but either way is fine by me
